Susan Greeley, MS, RDN

As a registered dietitian of 20 years and busy mother, Susan is on a mission to improve Americans’ diets and help individuals achieve optimal health through good nutrition and lifestyle.

In her private nutrition practice, Susan consults with clients to provide individualized nutrition care plans for weight loss, disease management and prevention, as well as sports nutrition, wellness and a variety of specialized nutritional needs.  Susan is a nutrition consultant for Atlantic Health System’s Executive Health Program and Atlantic Health’s state-of-the-art integrative medicine Center for Well Being.  She formerly worked as the staff nutritionist for her local YMCA for five years.  Susan appears as a guest speaker and lecturer at various organizations throughout the New York and New Jersey area and offers healthy cooking demonstrations to community groups and in a private setting.

Creating quick and healthy meals that are easy to prepare is Susan’s particular strength.  As the mother of four young boys, she understands the demands of a busy lifestyle, yet she recognizes the need to maintain a consistent, nutritious diet.  Susan enjoys inventing delicious yet simple and healthy original dishes for both her clients and her own growing family.  Having lived in both Europe and South America, she draws on a variety of cultures to provide exciting, new combinations of foods and flavors. Susan takes a simple, fun, and light-hearted approach to cooking, food, and life.

Susan’s first cookbook, which doubles as a diet book entitled “Cooking With Trader Joe’s Cookbook: Lighten Up!”  was released in March, 2012 as part of the popular “Cooking With Trader Joe’s” cookbook series.

Susan was a featured healthy eating expert on “A Million Cooks” (www.amillioncooks.com) and host of their podcast show, “Cookbook Corner,” for which she interviewed cookbook authors from around the world. Her nutrition column, “Food Fabulous Food,” was featured in Hometown Quarterly magazine (now digital HQ). Recently, she has won several recipe contests and was among the top 3 winners for Sargento’s cheese and Nestle’s national contest for Hershey’s cocoa recipes.

Susan is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly American Dietetic Association), the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine (DIFM) and Food and Culinary Professionals (FCP) dietetic practice groups of the Academy, and she holds a Master of Science Degree in Nutrition Communication from Tufts University in Boston and a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
