If you’re thinking you’d like your daughter (or son) to try soy, these “milkshakes” are a great way to start.
As with any shake or smoothie, there are many fruits to try with them, but here are two quickies that make for a great after-school treat.
Chocolate Banana Soy Shake
1 frozen, peeled banana
1 cup plain soy milk
1 Tb. chocolate syrup
1 tsp. cocoa powder
Combine all in a blender and blend until smooth. If you like it colder, add a few ice cubes.
Blueberry Banana Soy Shake
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup plain or vanilla soy milk
2-3 ice cubes
pinch sugar to taste
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
